In Year 3, we are learning how to care for dragons!
We have learnt about lots of aspects of dragon care and have started inventing our own dragons. We noticed in our book, Dare to Care: Pet Dragon, that they include “Fearsome Facts” about each creature.
We drew our dragons and wrote some interesting Fearsome Facts of our own. Here are some examples for you to see!
In Year 5 we had a great start to our term getting to read with our reading buddies in Elm and Hazel class and we have had time browsing our school library for books that we want to have ‘just for fun’. This half term, our class novel is ‘Kensuke’s Kingdom’ by Michael Morpurgo and we have just reached a very exciting part of the story!
This week we have been listening to lots of different stories. We have also been exploring our new book corners and sharing stories with our friends. Story time is such an important and special time of the day in Reception and we always make sure we come together at the end of the day to listen to some of our favourites.
Today we spent time with our reading buddy class. We shared stories, looked at picture books and talked about likes and dislikes. The older children were able to support the younger children and all pupils enjoyed reading for pleasure.
